Spotlight Charity for April

At MBC we’re dedicated to making a positive impact in our communities by helping individuals and families in need. We do this through our commitment to help support charities that make a huge impact in the lives of many throughout our Michigan communities. One of the ways we raise money is with Friday Casual Days. Every month MBC employees have the opportunity to pay monies for the privilege of wearing blue jeans or other casual attire on Fridays.

Our spotlight charity for April is The Arthritis Foundation. Arthritis is the #1 cause of disability in the United States, affecting more than 50 million people.  The Arthritis Foundation is committed to finding a cure for the millions of people who suffer from arthritis pain.  Walk to Cure Arthritis is the Arthritis Foundation’s nationwide signature event that rallies communities and raises funds to conquer arthritis once and for all.   The Walk has drawn thousands of participants in scores of communities every spring.  So far, the event has raised more than $100 million to help end the barriers that 50+ million Americans who are affected by arthritis face each day.

The Arthritis Foundation is focused on finding a cure and championing the fight against arthritis with life-changing information, advocacy, science and community. MBC is supporting Amanda Gross of Lake Trust Credit Union as she an honoree of the 2017 Walk to Cure Arthritis being held at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak on May 13, 2017.  You can read Amanda’s story on the “Meet our honorees” page of the Walk to Cure Arthritis website.
