At MBC we’re dedicated to making a positive impact in our communities by helping individuals and families in need. We do this through our commitment to help support charities that make an enormous impact in the lives of many throughout our Michigan communities. One of the ways we raise money is with Friday Casual Days. Every month MBC employees can pay monies for the privilege of wearing blue jeans or other casual attire on Fridays.
Our spotlight charity for January is Big Brother Big Sisters of Washtenaw County.
The mission of Big Brother Big Sisters of Washtenaw County is to provide children facing adversity with strong and ensuring, professionally supporter 1-to-1 relationship that change their lives for the better, forever. Big Brother Big Sisters of Washtenaw County work with parents/guardians, volunteers and others in the community and hold themselves Accountable for each child in our program achieving:
- Higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships Higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships
- Avoidance of risky behaviors
- Educational success
