HAVEN

At MBC we’re dedicated to making a positive impact in our communities by helping individuals, families and organizations that make a huge impact in the lives of many throughout Michigan. One of the ways we raise money is with Friday Casual Days. Every month MBC employees have the opportunity to pay monies for the privilege of wearing blue jeans or other casual attire on Fridays.

MBC’s June charity is HAVEN.

HAVEN is a prominent Michigan-based nonprofit organization (headquartered in Pontiac, roughly 32 miles northwest of Ann Arbor) that provides free, 24/7 comprehensive programs to support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

The official mission statement of HAVEN (Oakland County, Michigan’s premier center for domestic violence and sexual assault services) is: “To empower survivors to heal and engage all individuals and communities to address and prevent sexual assault and intimate partner violence.”
