At MBC we’re dedicated to making a positive impact in our communities by supporting individuals, families and organizations that make a meaningful difference throughout Michigan. One of the ways we give back is through our Casual for Charity program. Each month, MBC employees have the opportunity to donate for the privilege of wearing jeans during the week and enjoying more casual attire on Fridays. It’s a fun and rewarding way to support great causes while enjoying a little extra comfort at work. MBC’s January Charity is Food Gatherers.

MISSION

Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.

We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
