Michigan Business Connection (MBC) is excited to welcome its newest team members, Tom Jakubiec, Matt Skonecki, Oscar Notz, and Julia Salciccioli all as Financial Analysts, and Jon Fleming as Information Technology Administrator.

Tom Jakubiec joins MBC as a Financial Analyst and will be responsible for analyzing credit and financial data and preparing information for credit analysts and portfolio managers. Jakubiec has held various customer service positions throughout his career, including an entrance attendant at Beaumont Hospital, where he served both patients and visitors. He has interned with state-wide elections teams for multiple campaigns and regularly volunteers as an election poll worker. Jakubiec was an active member of Phi Sigma Kappa and held the positions of President and Treasurer. Jakubiec received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan.

Matt Skonecki joins MBC as a Financial Analyst with primary responsibilities in analyzing credit and financial data and preparing data for credit analysts and portfolio managers. Skonecki’s previous experience includes customer service, sales, payroll administration, and package handling. Skonecki was an active member of Phi Kappa Theta and held the position of Treasurer. He was also the Recruitment Director for the Economics Club. Skonecki has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a Minor in Financial Economics from the University of Detroit Mercy.

Oscar Notz joins MBC as a Financial Analyst and will be responsible for analyzing credit and financial data and preparing information for credit analysts and portfolio managers. Notz’s previous experience includes customer service, food service, and financial planning support. Notz is fluent in Spanish and will bring this ability and skill to his new role. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Eastern Michigan University (EMU). Notz represented EMU at the Financial Executives International of Detroit Academic Awards in 2022.

Julia Salciccioli joins MBC as a Financial Analyst with primary responsibilities in analyzing credit and financial data and preparing data for credit analysts and portfolio managers. Salciccioli’s previous experience includes customer service, financial budgeting, management, and mentoring/coaching. Salciccioli has a bachelor’s degree in business with a focus on public service and public policy from Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University.

Jon Fleming is MBC’s new Information Technology Administrator and will be responsible for coordinating all technology functions including establishing, maintaining, and supporting users of the internal network, the MBC web portal, and all systems and applications. He will be working closely with the Compliance Administrator and supporting relationships with IT service providers. Fleming has over 20 years of technical experience, beginning his career as a Broadcast Systems Technician before moving into other IT roles. He’s held multiple security and system administrator roles at companies of all sizes across Michigan. Most recently, Jon was a team leader for Dynamic Edge in Ann Arbor, a managed IT support provider. Fleming has an associate’s degree in computer network systems.
