Michigan Business Connection (MBC) is excited to welcome Brian G. McVeigh as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In his role at MBC Brian will lead financial reporting, regulatory compliance, risk management and all other accounting activities.
McVeigh has served as a CFO in the financial services industry for more than 25 years. Most recently he was a part of the senior leadership team at Vibe Credit Union where he oversaw finance, accounting, IT, risk management, card services and internal audit. Throughout his career in the credit union industry, Brian has served on numerous boards and committees, including the CUNA CFO executive committee, the board of directors for CU Student Choice, the finance committee for CU Wallet and the partners’ steering committee for the Trust for Credit Unions.
Brian earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting from Michigan State University. Brian has been active in local nonprofit organizations, serving on multiple boards, including St. Vincent’s Catholic Charities, Lansing Catholic High School and the Lansing Diocese Schools Task Force. Brian and his wife live in Howell, Michigan where they enjoy travel, sporting events, golf and most outdoor activities.
