In our 13th year, we are encouraging the credit union community to shop local on October 15, 2024, or any time that week. What better way to show our support for the communities we serve? Now more than ever, every dollar spent makes a difference when it goes to a local business; from buying a morning cup of coffee, ordering lunch in, or even shopping local.
We invite you to participate in CU Lunch Local 2024 and hope you promote your plans and the great things you do to support local businesses in your communities!
Some tips:
- Consider partnering up with one or more local businesses anytime during the week of October 14th.
- Join in the social media push by sharing and uploading photos and stories supporting local businesses with the hashtags #culunchlocal and #cushoplocal to your organization’s social media pages!
- Other ways to promote what you do: tell your members, send out a press release about your plans, and encourage other credit union colleagues you know to participate too.
