At MBC we’re dedicated to making a positive impact in our communities by helping individuals and families in need. We do this through our commitment to help support charities that make a huge impact in the lives of many throughout our Michigan communities. One of the ways we raise money is with Friday Casual Days. Every month MBC employees can pay $20 for the privilege of wearing blue jeans or other casual attire on Fridays.

Our spotlight charity for March is CaringBridge.

CaringBridge is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1997 and they work toward one vision: a world where no one goes through a health journey alone. In order to turn that vision into realty, they have made it their mission to build bridges of care and communication providing love and support on a health journey.

CaringBridge is the largest and most widely used social networking site for family and friends to communicate with loved ones during a health journey of any kind.  They are a free, advertising-free platform with simple tools for patients and family caregivers to share health updates, and for their communities to offer support and encouragement. They have made a global impact with 850,000 sites created and 2.4 billion cumulative site visits.
